Public Hearing on Local Law 1-2024 Solar Energy
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TOWN OF EATON
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Municipal Home Rule Law there has been presented to the Town Board of the Town of Eaton, New York, at a regular meeting thereof held on January 9th, 2024, proposed Local Law No. 1-2024, titled, “A Local Law Amending Chapter 120 of the Town of Eaton Code to Regulate Solar Energy Systems with the Town of Eaton.” Said Local Law, if enacted, would amend Chapter 120 of the Town of Eaton Code to Regulate Solar Energy Systems within the Town so as to create a new Article VD, which will establish regulations for solar energy systems. The full text of said Local Law is on file at the Town Clerk’s Office at the Town Offices located at 35 Cedar Street, Morrisville, New York in the Town of Eaton for inspection by all interested persons, and available online at https://www.townofeaton.com/.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that previously on January 9th, 2023, the Town Board determined that this proposed Local Law is a Type I action pursuant to the State Environmental Quality Review Act and declared itself to be lead agency.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Town Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed Local Law at the Town Hall located at 35 Cedar Street, Morrisville, New York in the Town of Eaton on February 13th, 2024 at 6:05 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, at which time all persons interested will be heard. The public may mail or electronically submit comments on proposed Local Law No. 1-2024 to the Town Clerk at eatonclerk@cnymail.com by noon on February 13th, 2024.
