Madison County Partners with LOJO Technology
to Host Quarterly Saturday Electronic Recycling Days
Canastota, NY –The Madison County
Department of Solid Waste is once again
partnering with LOJO Technology to offer
quarterly Saturday collection days for
electronics such as televisions, computers
and printers. The Department of Solid Waste
funds this free recycling program for Madison
County residents; business waste is not
accepted. In 2024, Madison County residents
recycled 220,000 pounds of electronics
through this program.
The 2025 Saturday recycling days will be
9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on the following days at
LOJO Technology: February 1, April 26, July
12 and October 18. There is a designated
drop-off area at LOJO Technology located at
634 Birchwood Drive, Oneida. An attendant
will not be available to help unload.
LOJO Technology is also open year-round, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to
3:00 PM, excluding holidays. Please visit the Department of Solid Waste’s website for
more information on accepted items. Residents do not need an appointment to drop off
items within the designated times.
Freon-containing units such as air conditioners, dehumidifiers and refrigerators are not
accepted at LOJO Technology. These specific items must be brought to the Buyea
Road Residential Station and require a punch card for disposal.
