COLLECTOR’S NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF TAX ROLL
TAKE NOTICE, that I Dean Curtis, the undersigned Collector of Taxes of the Town of Eaton, County of Madison and State of New York, has duly received the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes within the Town of Eaton for the year 2025, and that I will receive payment for such taxes at the Town Office Building, 35 Cedar Street, Morrisville, New York, from December 27th 2024 through April 30th, 2025 and that I have designated the following hours for receiving taxes: Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am through 2 pm. and Friday 9-12 noon. (this excludes holidays) Please call (315) 684-8051
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that any taxes may be paid on or before January 31, 2025 without charge or interest. Taxes remaining unpaid after February 1st, 2025 will have an additional one percent (1%) added for each month or part thereof until the taxes are returned to the County Treasurer, the first day of May, 2025.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, Any tax bill in excess of $100.00 may be paid in two equal installments; the first to be collected no later than January 31. Providing the first installment has been collected, the second installment may be paid with penalty on that half only, up to but no later than the last day of April.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, State Law states that an unpaid Notice be sent on or before April 15, 2025 to all property owners. The expense of mailing this Second Notice of unpaid taxes shall be an additional $2.00 chargeable against each notice sent.
